Would you be willing to help me set up a similar curriculum for young ladies? Something complementary to this, I've head of the masculine virtues, are there feminine virtues as well? If so, what are they?

I was thinking that a sister school would work well--particularly for the occasional dance or ball. Would of course be eager to help, though I'm not sure how much help I can provide, given my lack of expertise on the subject. You would have a fascinating and worthy challenge ahead of you. Drop me a line at sonofchivalry@protonmail.com.

This is the most exciting thing I’ve read from you yet.

Huon of Bordeaux (and the chansons) have such fantastic lessons to teach. Not just about chivalric manliness but in prayer to with the “epic credo”. Very much looking forward to this, and hopefully small ways to support.

Perfect idea. Many "conservatives" can't see that the ideal society is low-tech to the max: Truth and Luddism go together. This is why Fantasy Lit is so effective: It puts Man in primitive nature and centers Medieval values.

I spent one semester at a military school and grew more in those 3 months than the balance of my undergrad studies - would love to see my sons take up this challenge.

Questions for the author: Do you have a geographic region in mind for the campus? Age-range for students? Summer term or as a replacement for the regular school term? Is the goal to offer an accredited degree or something that exists outside that system? Any affiliation with a broader institution such as a church? I realize you're in the early phases - but would love to hear more as the vision becomes concrete.

These are good questions--and I must confess I am still working on the details. Location: I live in a very based town in the midwest USA and I think the connections and community here make this a promising spot, but I'm not set on that. Will certainly let you know as the vision becomes clearer.

As I read through your goal, I heard one word... YES! Keep your eyes on the horizon, as all upright humans should.

God-willing, we will make this happen. Thank you for your encouragement--it means a great deal to me. Also: love the Leon Kass reference!

I admire your vision and the courage to share it with the world. I'll be praying for you in this because I believe it is a noble and worthy goal. Would love to contribute in whatever way possible. I'm also going to get my hands on “The Necessity of Chivalry” by CS Lewis soon because it's obviously inspired you and aside from Ivanhoe and a few other stories I don't know much on about chivalry or knighthood and that needs to change.

Excellent, thank you! Lewis' essay is hard to find online, but you can listen to it here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-StpwwoU0dg. I have found the study of the medieval arts of manhood to be invigorating and life-altering. Let me know how it goes for you!

Thank you for sharing that. That's an incredible amount of real thinking packed into less than 10 minutes. I'll definitely be listening again but that was quite something. It will have me pondering my life for a while hahah.

Glad you like it! I read the essay at least every quarter--so short, so relevant. It altered the course of my life, that's for sure.
